Blaze Ensemble enjoyed a busy 2025-2026 season performing at venues including Blackheath Halls, Milton Court, The Old Hall, Lincoln’s Inn, St Bride’s, Edenbridge Music and Arts Trust, St Olave’s, St Peter’s Berkhamsted and St Mary le Strand.  Highlights included the world premiere of Adrian Sutton’s ‘Montana Peaks’ for Dectet, the Schubert Octet, Beethoven Septet, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 2, Piano Concertos No. 12 and 23, Coronation Mass in C and Symphony No 29 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6. We also enjoyed playing four piano wind sextets by Farrenc, Jacob, Poulenc and Thuille and the Dohnanyi Sextet.

We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 season which begins with a concert in September at All Saints, Fulham with a performance of the Farrenc and Spohr Nonets.  Other concerts in our Autumn calendar include Adrian Sutton’s ‘Montana Peaks’ Dectet with Stanford and Martinu’s Nonets at Blackheath Halls, Marcello’s oboe concerto with Mozart Symphony No. 40 at St Bride’s and a world premiere of ‘Flourish’ by Paul Pritchard for small chamber orchestra alongside ‘Siegfried Idyll’ by Wagner at The Old Hall, Lincoln’s Inn.
